I have an immune deficiency that leads to various immune system problems and issues. My sister recommended IV Nutritional therapy. What is it, and how does it work?

IV nutritional therapy is a type of intravenous therapy that gives the body the vitamins and minerals it needs to make up for deficiencies or promote healing. A liquid solution is used to transfer the nutrients from an IV line, PICC line, or port. Direct nutrient delivery to the bloodstream occurs during the IV drip. In order to get nutrients more quickly to the cells that require them, this technique avoids digestion. Your doctor might suggest IV nutrition therapy if you have trouble getting the proper nutrients from your diet or if your body has trouble absorbing vitamins and minerals.
