What are Traditional Qi Gong Forms?

Forms are choreographed and repetitive routines that are an essential aspect of Qi Gong practice. Your nervous system learns through precise repetition and refinement – which is why these practices have been passed down for thousands of years. In Level Two – you will learn the famous Eight Pieces of Brocade (Ba Duan Jin). This is easily the most popular Qi Gong form in the world. You will also learn the subtle Balancing Heaven and Earth practice (Tian Di He Yi Fa). This indigenous Daoist practice is meant to help you reconnect with the Land, the Sky, and the Seasons. To keep your joints and meridians open and healthy, you will be introduced to the Deep Healing Flow. This is a form of qi gong floor work or mat work that is very similar to modern Yoga. To balance the focus on choreography, you will also have a chance to Embrace some playfulness with Freeform Tai Chi. This exercise is used specifically to focus on principles – because there is nothing else to practice.
